CONFIGURING CLAUDE AI

Top  Previous  Next

UnForm's IDP module can use the Claude SDK to perform AI-related tasks for data extraction.  In order to do so, you need to configure an API key for UnForm's use.  This key is generated from the Claude Console at console.anthropic.com.  This requires an Anthropic account for Claude Console, which should be a commercial account for performance and privacy reasons.  Note this is a different account from one used for the claude.ai chat interface.

From the Claude Console, you can create API keys, give them names, and optionally place a key in a non-default workspace.  Separate workspaces allow you to monitor UnForm usage separate from other Claude API usage.  Once you create a key, you can copy it into UnForm's configuration, on the External Tools tab.  From then on, any inbound source that is configured to run an IDP job will use that key.

A key can also be stored in Stored Passwords, and is then referenced in the configuration as "store:name" rather than the text of the key.
