Roles are used to define groups of users who can edit a document when it reaches specific steps in a flow. Each step of a flow is assigned to a single role. Each role can have one or more users who are members and participate in editing the document and its data. Any user selected for the role can also have a Notify setting. The notify object's emailrole() method honors these settings, only sending notifications to those members with Notify checked.
